Church of St. John the Martyr

About Us

From the church's website: We realize that the church of St. John the Martyr can be easily missed among the neighboring buildings, but now that you’ve found us, we assure you that you’ve found a small treasure. We invite you to come in and relax in prayer, worship with us, mingle with us and feel welcome here. We’re a small parish, and this allows us to offer you the best of our faith along with a real sense of parish family. Perhaps you will even want to join us by registering as a parishioner. Our goal is to invite you to join a journey with us, rejoicing in and celebrating the many and varied gifts of God. We hope to be a parish of reconciliation and healing for those in need. We extend our hands and hearts especially to our brothers and sisters who have been hurt or broken by life, those who feel betrayed by their loved ones or disappointed by their church, or those who have been uprooted from their homes and are now looking for a new home in this strange but beautiful city of New York. Hopefully, we can be of help to you and conversely, we hope that you will recognize your gifts and share them not only with us but with others.
